ABOUT ME

Laurel Cahill, MPH, IBCLC

Laurel Cahill attended high school and college in Maryland after a childhood spent moving around the country for her father's military career. She earned her BS in biochemistry and BA in psychology from University of Maryland, Baltimore County and her Master in Public Health from the George Washington University. After having her first child, Laurel began volunteering as a La Leche League leader and grew interested in supporting families with their parenting journeys.

Laurel earned her International Board Certified Lactation Consultant credential in 2019 and created Southern Maryland Lactation Services in 2020. She enjoys serving families in southern Maryland.

Laurel lives in Solomons with her husband, and 3 children (ages 6, 3, and newborn).
